awaesaeh, the first thing I suggest is that you turn it off, do not try to turn it on again, and follow this guide After you do that, replace the battery and reevaluate. You can use the step-by-step guides below the picture of the device, to disassemble. Rice will only work to absorb some of the liquid, but will not clean anything and will not prevent corrosion. If you do not clean the logic board etc, you might end up with issues like corrosion or battery failure later on.Good Luck and let us know.

try putting the ipod in a bad with rice and leave it for a few days. if that doesnt work, the board is probably toast.

I left my ipod in my Mini ash tray with a open sun roof and found it under water after a rain storm.

I did not turn it on and put it in the oven at 150 degrees for about ten minutes, and then turned the oven off.

The ipod stayed in the oven overnight with the oven light on and in the morning the ipod worked fine.

Never turn on any shorted electronic devices.
