My daughter has dropped her phone. The screen is smashed with red and green lines. Please can someone tell me if this is able to get fixed if i replace the screen or will it need further attention.

We repair shops see damage like this quite often and she damaged the LCD, which will be replaced when you use a full screen assembly and not a glass only repair. You can order a kit here on ifixit. Just be careful when disconnecting the battery as a lot of DIY-ers and beginners have a tendency to knock off a very tiny component near the battery connector known as battery gas gauge and it’s pretty self explanatory. If it does get knocked off the phone will constantly display 1% battery and reboot every so often. That can also be repaired but you’ll need a specialist. Make sure all the screws go back in the right place. If you put the wrong screw in the wrong place in the phone, you can cause more damage.
