After parts replacement, screen won't fit flush.
After replacing both the rear case and the display assembly, the glass of the display doesn't sit flush with the front bezel like it should.
The bottom is perfect because it can be screwed down, but the top edge, especially at the top left corner, tends to pop out a slight amount.
Is there a trick to reassembling the phone in such a way that the glass is secure, or is this as good as it's getting?
Is this a good question?

have you put the tabs on the glass assembly into the matching notches on the metal bezel??

Also check if you've removed any old adhesive from the screen's midframe before putting on the new adhesive. This will cause it to stick up.

From what I saw while I had the iPhone apart, there don't appear to be tabs and matching notches like there are in an iPhone 4.
There is one little metal clip or tab of some type in the upper left of the display assembly, but I couldn't locate any corresponding notch for it to hook into.
There doesn't seem to be anything keeping it from seating correctly. I can push the corner down without resistance and it will sit fine until I release it.
