Hi there! I have to replace my broken display assembly, so i went to ebay. There are many displays for my MacBook Pro 17", but most of them are for A1229 of A1261 models. If I buy one, will it work on my A1212? I live far, far away from USA, so shipping back and forth in case of incompatibility is not very good... Thanks in advance for your answers!

Get the EXACT numbers off the back of the LCD. There are three different makers of this LCD and you need to get the identical replacement part.
