graphical distortions, faulty gpu will apple replace

I have a early 2008 macbook pro a1260, and the gpu just fried, But it is a refurbished from apple. Will they still fix it for free, or am i screwed.

All of the A1260 machines have the Nvidia 8600 GPU and this is the one Apple is replacing for free up to four years after the original date of purchase. Certain symptoms are easier to get fixed over the phone and the turn around time is usually four days. If you take it in, they can run a test right there.
