PPT004 Error after installing battery

The battery on my 2015 Retina 13” MacBook Pro was completely shot, so I ordered this kit from iFixit:

MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Early 2015) Battery / New / Fix Kit

The installation went fine as did the battery calibration - everything seems good, but I decided to run Apple diagnostics (hold down the D key at startup) and I got this error message:

“The battery requires service. The battery is not functioning normally, though you may not notice a change in its behavior or the amount of charge it holds. You can continue to use your battery before it’s checked without harming your computer.

Reference Code: PPT004”

(I also get this result when I hold down option-D at startup)

However, when I option-click the battery icon I get “Condition Normal”

Does this mean the battery is bad or the installation wasn’t done successfully?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I have contacted iFixit Support with this query and will await their response. I must say - if they sent me a battery with old firmware, that now immediately needs replacing - I'm going to be VERY unhappy as the battery install is quite time consuming and involves dangerous chemical solvents (acetone).
