Sond muted or extremely low after new charging port replacement
Replaced charging port in iPhone 3gs. Sound is barely heard above a whisper.

It is likely a bad dock. Fully functional dock assemblies don't always get shipped. I've purchased from people claiming to be the best suppliers just to have a 50/50'chance of it being good. I suggest returning it for a new one. If this doesn't work, can you give further background on the problem you had prior to installation?
