ASUS X441 bottom cover screws

I bought a used ASUS X441 on eBay.

All of the screws are missing from the bottom cover.

I looked on ASUS website but the user manual has no information on the size of the screws.

Hi @atexit8 ,

Don’t know the answer but here’s a link to all the screws for an Asus X441MA laptop which may help. (or find your exact model here)

Try placing a thin wire in each hole to measure the depth and then compare it to what screws are shown in the list. Measuring each hole may be necessary in case the screws aren’t all the same length. I don’t know if they are or not.

There are only two really long screw sizes, 12.5mm and 14mm so if the holes are all near that length it makes it easier to choose.

If you can determine the correct size, search online using only the Asus part number for the screw to find suppliers that suit you.

Hopefully this may help until someone comes up with the definite answer

Thank you!

Excellent advice about using a thin wire to measure each hole.

I think an unbent paper clip should be small enough.

Hi @atexit8

If a paperclip is too thick then a dressmaker's pin should definitely fit

Going to webpage linked by @jayeff , I bought ten M2x12 and ten M2x14 from a seller on eBay.

The M2x14 worked.

Thanks! @jayeff
