broke cable in phone

when viewing the inside of the i phone4 after removing the back cover the little cable which is the only one resembling a cord and at the end having a metal round clip on end. i unfortunately dislodged the cable from that metal ousing at the end. can i successfully repair my self or do i have to buy another

I believe you mean the antenna cable. If the connection has just come off the end of the cable then I'd try to fix it back using solder etc. If the end has come off the motherboard then you'll need to solder it back there. you could just buy the dock assembly that the antenna is on and save some hassle. it's up to you.
