How can I turn my MacBook on via the logic board?

My MacBook will no longer turn on - I've trawled the internet for answers and it sounds like the problem could be the keyboard? To test this, I read you can turn the machine on directly from the solder points on the logic board. How do you do this and where are they?

Yikes! It's really not recommended. It's very easy with iBooks, but not so much with MacBooks. Have you tried reseating the RAM, and testing the memory slots by powering on with one empty, and then the other? Have you tried resetting the PMU by connecting to AC power and holding in the power button until (hopefully) you hear a tone and see the sleep light flashing?

I'd borrow a friend's topcase, or buy a used one on eBay for $20 before messing with wiring and potentially frying it further.
