Replaced the two cables, now the screen looks like this

Replaced the two cables, now the screen looks like this, not sure if I damaged something while I was trying to replace the cables.

I had noticed the orange strip connected to the LCD was a bit damaged, would that be the reason? Everything else works fine, but the screen won’t show the apple and the OS

Can you take some pics of the LVDS logic board connector as well as the cable end so we can see if they are damages as well.

Not good ;-{

The LVDS cable and connector look fine! So you either got a bad/wrong LCD panel if you replaced it alone or your systems logic board has issues as well. I would double check things with an external display to help focus what you need to work on.

did you buy the cables for the same modles?

yes, they were purchased separately, and didn't come with the LCD screen

It looks like you have a damaged LCD panel ribbon cable. Sadly there is nothing you can do here other than replace the LCD panel or the full display assembly 11” MacBook Air Display Assembly , Apple P/N 661-02345
