Why does my HDMI not work?

I recently bought one of these: Comsol USB-C to HDMI, USB 3.0, USB-C and SD/TF Adapter

I've had it for a week now, it was working fine until suddenly the hdmi port stopped working, the macbook still recognises the screen and ive tried different screens and cables, I've SMC/pram reset it and done the nvram reset too yet it's not working, any other ideas or should I return it and get something else

I would return it and either get a replacement or try a different unit.
