How to know what screen does my MacBook White A1342 suport

I’m doing research to buy a Macbook White A1342 from 2009 but the screen is broken!

So I’m gonna attempt to repair it but I watched a video of someone replacing the screen in another Mac but there screen manufacture was different from the one of the motherboard or something and it didn’t work, so I searched if it was the samething with my MacBook and yes apparently it was but I don’t know how to discover what is the screen manufacture or the motherboard manufacture.

Can someone help????

Answer this question I have this problem too

There is only one screen for the A1342 series. I think you got confused by the older MacBook’s which did have some variations based on the given logic board.

Here’s one source for the needed part MacBook White Unibody Complete Display (09/10), Apple P/N 661-6598 And here’s the guide to put it in: MacBook Unibody Model A1342 Display Replacement
