AppleWatch only displays logo intermittently after battery replacement

I replaced the battery on my Apple Watch following the instructions here:

Apple Watch Series 1 Battery Replacement

Everything went fine, but when charging it for the first time:

  1. I don’t get the changing snake symbol
  2. The Apple logo will display for <1 sec and then stay off for about a minute.

I don’t think I tore any of the cables or shorted anything.

I am thinking it might be a defective battery. Has anyone had this issue and resolved it by replacing the battery with another new battery?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

My best friend had this issue and sent his series 1 to me for a new battery. Although I’ve tried two new batteries from different suppliers, it still did the same thing. I’m wondering if the software got corrupted or something. I would maybe try another supplier for the battery. I recommend mobile sentrix.

I'm dealing with this right now. I've received 3 batteries from iFixit and all have been defective. The voltages have been way too low (2.2V to 2.4V) to accept a charge or boot the watch. It should be closer to 3.7V-3.8V at rest even when fully depleted. I have a thread going here (Apple Watch S1, Still have a boot loop after battery replacement) and over at macrumors (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ser...)
