Why does my iPod keep restarting on its own and doing nothing else?

My 4th gen ipod touch just keeps turning on and off popping up with an apple logo each time. My ipod was jailbroken and i had multiple compressors within cydia so i decided to delete one of them and after it deleted the file, it asked if i wanted to restore my ipod. Not knowing very much about jailbroken i pods, i accepted the restore and ever since then it just turns on to the apple logo then shuts off, repeating this until it eventually dies... Wen i connect it to a computer, it doesn't even register. Its like thers nothing plugged in.... I seriously need help with this if there is a way to fix it.

try a restore with itunes, also try DFU. Next step would be to replace the battery. Of course, it will be a different story if anything has happened to the iPod...:-)
