Hi,

Use a DMM’s (digital multimeter) Voltmeter function to check that the adapter’s voltage output is 19.0V DC at the adapter’s output cable plug.

If the adapter’s output is OK then here’s the maintenance and service guide for the laptop.

Go to p.109 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove the power cable from the laptop. This will allow you to test if the laptop power socket is OK by testing between the socket and the power cable plug with an Ohmmeter. If the socket is faulty the part will have to be replaced, (usually the centre pin in the socket breaks internally). If you search online using the part number only (found at the top of p.109), you’ll get results for suppliers of the part.
