Express 34 does not boot the machine

What is the difference between the express card slot in the core duo machines and the core 2 duo dose any one know. My machine is the core duo machine I have a ssd express card and it will not boot from it. but my mate has a core 2 duo and it will boot from it.

If any one know why i would love to know and if there is any way to fixit

The difference may be in the firmaware of the two different computers you tried. Maybe Apple built this into the Core 2 Duo only ? Does a normal SATA harddisk boot from your expresscard slot ?

A PCIe card is different from a PCI card. A PCIe card is a serial mounted, which allows quicker access to the subsystem. The PCI card is a parallel bus application card. Therefore the speed of the cards is much slower. These cards are not the same and are not interchangeable
