I have an HP Envy 14-j007tx. In every headphone that I plug in the right earphone stopped working and its not a software issue so I want to change the audio jack. Any pointers?

Hi @adam_worth ,

Here’s the Maintenance and Service Guide for the laptop taken from this webpage.

Go to p.52 to view the necessary prerequisite steps and then the procedure to remove the systemboard.

The audio combo jack is mounted on the systemboard, so you may have to remove it from the laptop to gain access to the combo jack if it needs to be replaced.

There is no individual part number shown for the audio jack in either the service guide or the HP PartSurfer parts list so if the jack is internally faulty and needs to be replaced as opposed to hopefully just a loose connection for the right audio channel you may have to search places such as Mouser.com or Digikey.com to find a compatible replacement. Perhaps if you check for any information markings on the jack itself (once you have access), it may help to find it.

Hopefully this is of some help
