Why is my iPod emitting a high pitched noise from the click wheel?

Basically whenever my ipod is up and running, I can hear a high pitched whine/buzzing coming from the click wheel. Ipod works just fine, however i’m just wondering if I should be concerned at all? It gets a bit louder when charging. Haven't noticed any overheating issues when charging so far. Edit: I did take out the original hard drive and installed the iflash solo with a 3000mah battery. I want to say it's coil whine, but idk if that's possible with the iPod.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Is it the hard drive making noise. Those go out after a while. I just changed mine to a iflash with sd cards.

Well that's the problem. I don't have a HDD installed anymore. I have the iflash solo with the 3000mah battery setup. So I'm just not sure if something happened to the logic board or if the click wheel is making the noises. I'm sorry, I should've mentioned the iflash mod

I have no idea why it is making noise. I can't think of anything that would make noise except the hard drive.
