Damaged charging coil and battery.

Hi!

I have a Xiao Mi 9, bought in 2019. A few month ago, a laptop fell on top of it. It cracked the glass at the back, but I could still use the phone for a couple of weeks, with no problem. After which, it started stopping randomly but could still be turned back on and used for a week or so. About two weeks later, it stopped every 3 minutes and eventually stopped working all together. I sent it for repair twice. The first time, only the glass was changed. The second, it came back open, and they just said “not worth repairing as mainboard and battery u/s“.

There is a clear dent in the coil and in the battery. Could the damage to the coil and/or the battery shortcut the mainboard?

Otherwise, would it be worth me fixing those two parts?
