Will a new battery fix it?

My iphone had water damage and ive opened it up and cleaned it and it will connect to the computer when put into dfu mode now but it wont turn on. If i replace the battery would it fix it?

Jared, I would start with a battery. I do feel pretty strongly about replacing those batteries after any kind of water damage.

Options

Just for starters change the battery!, if the battery is bad the boot loader won't boot and you will get an IMEI error.
