Do you solder ports for a microsoft surface?

Do you solder ports for microsoft surfaces? I have been to 7 computer repair places and they all are telling me this cannot be fixed. I spoke to someone at the beginning of this year, but I can’t remember the company I called and I think it is this one. It appears that my port on the inside of my computer has broken off and needs to be soldered together to work so it is not getting a charge from the charging cord. Can you assist?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi @mamadeesaid ,

ifixit does not do repairs.

People volunteer answers to help you fix it yourself.

Here’s the ifixit Microsoft Surface Pro guides.

This should help to open the laptop so that it the components can be accessed.

What ports are you asking about, charge port, USB port, HDMI port? The charge port for a Surface Pro is a removable module that requires no soldering. The USB and HDMI port are mounted on the motherboard and would need smd soldering to repair or replace.

I’m surprised that so many repairers don’t want to fix it.

Try searching for professional repairers listed with ifixit, for your location and check if any are able (and willing) to repair the laptop for you.
