Spilled coffee on it. still works but doesn't charge.

spilled coffee on my mac and its still works i turn it off by it self turn i upside in 2sec drained it all out took the back off barred it in rice and but near a window for 3 days. cleaned the rice out turn on fine but wont charge anymore.....is it the battier or something else

??? im just tired of always plugin it in

The only way I know to check if its the battery is to check battery voltage. If the battery voltage is far below that of its rated nominal voltage, the battery is toast. Don't macs also have an indicator of battery health? Does it indicate any problems?

Could also be the charging circuit

at the magsafe, OR at the battery terminal. Look for burns on the logic board using a strong magnifier, look for corrosion on the contacts. If you see corrosion you could try a non-conductive contact cleaner.

You could try taking the battery to a battery/electronics store and see if they can charge it or check it.
