I would definitely start there. When you remove the coils it would be easier to check for shorts. You should be able buy a broken phone for donor parts. If you are going to do this yourself I would recommend practicing on some junk boards or have a professional do the work.

This is a junk board I have lying around. Do you think the coils could be the reason for not powering on?

Also how would you remove the coils. Do you have a YouTube video or instructions this is going to me first attempt at something like this. Thanks

Watch videos from jessa at iPad rehab, jason at sts telecom, and Louis rossmann on YouTube. You will need a hot air machine and a soldering iron. You can buy a cheap one on Amazon but the quality is soso. If you want to learn how to do this and are interested in maybe doing it for a living or side income I would recommend getting some decent equipment. Like a amscope 7x45 microscope with a camera mount. Hakko fx951 soldering station and fx2032 micro pencil and some hot tweezers. You can purchase all of the equipment on Amazon.
