Crackling speakers- replace? Or is it another cause?

My speakers crackle at any volume. I’m all set to replace them with some aftermarket ones. Though with the case open I can see clearly that the original ones have far stronger magnets. Could the crackle be caused by anything else? I’d like to keep my original speakers if possible. My battery is old and I’m about to replace it, could that be an issue? Computer is otherwise good- no water damage.

Answer this question I have this problem too

I’ll definitely follow that guide. The speakers I have will fit, but don’t appear to be as high quality, so I’m pretty sure they’re after-market.

I would be very careful as you can blow the amp on your logic board if they are not correct.
