Flashing? at start up.
Flashing ? at start up, tried using installation disc, wont find a volume to loan disk to, ran hardware test and came up with error code 4SNS/1/40000000:TBOT

Your hard drive has failed. You will need to get a 2.5" SATA hard drive to replace it. Here are some that will work for you: http://www.ifixit.com/Mac-Parts/MacBook#...
Please give us the last three figures of your serial number so we know your exact machine and can direct you to the correct repair guide. This is a very easy replacement.
