Replaced battery, Now has black screen

Quick Rundown. replaced the battery in IPhone SE(1st Gen). Managed to break the home button ribbon in the process. Replaced the home button and put everything back together. I have tried to turn the phone and hard reset the phone, neither of which shows anything on the screen or vibrates when i toggle the “slient” switch.

I plugged the phone into my laptop and it shows up in itunes but says “There is a problem with your iphone that requires it to be updated and so i updated the phone, but it still has the same problem. And when i plug it into the laptop again i get the saem message as before.

When it showed up in itunes, i thought i might have just damaged the screen, but as there is no vibration and the itunes seems to think there is a problem does anyone else have any ideas? Thanks

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

what error is itunes giving you? to be quite honest, its probably a bad connection. the following two guides will walk you through both the home button and screen replacement as these are most likely the culprit after you changed them. just open back up, retrace your steps and reseat the connections and make sure nothing was overlooked. i think youll be sucessful.

i see...if a update doesnt correct the issue, may need to restore it. ive had issues in the past that required a restore vs an update. it may be that the it needs to be reset this way for the home button to be paired with the new device. if you can do this, id try it first before taking it back apart.
