CUH-2016A with disc drive not working

Hi, i really need help to find the source of this problem…

I’m working on a CUH-2016A ps4 slim with SAD-003 motherboard that i recently pick up.

The disc drive is not working, won’t accept discs, no spin, no laser, nothing and with that comes no update (currently on 7.02): i tried to update in the option menu and in safemode with internet and usb but everytime gives me error SU-30676-2.

Already tried all the other option in safemode without succes…

I think i checked all the fuses on the motherboard, and all of them beeps with the multimeter.

I think i’m missing something to look at, but i don’t know where to search on this mobo…

Can someone please help me?

Thanks!

Only one other chip to replace is the Blu-ray drive controller chip via microsoldering.

There's two chips one is married paired o the board and one is replaceable.

For what i can understand, there is a BD7764MUV chip that seems to be a motor drive controller and a MEDIATEK MT1965AU that i think is the irreplaceable one because it contains the bdrom fw with the key linked to the console.

The question is, how i can test those chips to figure out who is the problem?

If you have a DC Bench Power Supply at hand you can check if the disc feed motor is working using that.

That motor works at 3.3V and if it doesn't spin at that voltage the motor is no good plus that chip in that case. Make sure to disconnect the drive from the PS4 before testing.

If you manually put the disc in and it doesn't attempt to spin at all then the only thing you can try is the BD chip that is the motor drive controller.

i don't have a bench psu, but i can use an pc one with the 3,3 volt line no problem.

"That motor works at 3.3V and if it doesn't spin at that voltage the motor is no good plus that chip in that case. Make sure to disconnect the drive from the PS4 before testing."

What chip are you referring to, the BD7746MUV?

"If you manually put the disc in and it doesn't attempt to spin at all then the only thing you can try is the BD chip that is the motor drive controller."

Exactly, no spin and no laser, nothing happen

BD7764MUV chip is the one I'm refering to. I haven't had much luck with those when it comes to the slims. The PS4 model with the blu-ray drive daughterboard I've had no problems replacing that chip.
