Is it possible to swap out the logic board with newer models' board?

Is it possible to swap out the logic board from this MacBook Pro Touch Bar, Late 2016 with logic boards from newer models like a MacBook Pro Touch Bar 2017/18 since all the connecter placements are the same?

what about the (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2016) the logic board looks exactly like early 2017 but has 16 GB ram connectors footprint etc..

There are differences between the 16/17 models from the 18/19 models. So going to the very newest is not possible. I haven’t even tried swapping out the newer TB systems around. I would stick within the systems series.

The other factor is costs, replacing a logic board is not cheap!
