Does it eject all disks or just burned disks? CD's or DVD's? All brands of disks, original disks say from Apple?

The iBook G4 I am talking about ejects any discs that is inserted in it, it is to say: blank discs, burned disc, used discs, cleaned discs, CD, DVD, and also the installation discs.

So I do not know what to do, I do not know if damaged at all or can be repared at some way.

This may help: ZAP the PRAM - hold down the option & apple keys also the P & R keys and restart. Continue hold the keys till you have heard three bongs. Test the drive again. If it doesn't work I would replace it. Take the battery out see if there is a tag inside that tells us exactly which iBook you have. I will then be able to direct you to where to get a replacement drive and how to put it in.

Here's a Combo drive that will work for you: [linked product missing or disabled: IF183-028] The superdrive, in my opinion is much to high.

Chris is right. Sometimes just a lens cleaning restore the drive functionality. I perfer a manual lens cleaning with isoprophylic alcohol but I understand that many people wont open the machine just to clean the optical the drive.
