Replacement Digitizer is unresponsive

My Ipod touch 2nd Generation replacement digitizer is unresponsive. I have tried two different digitizers with almost no luck. After attaching and detaching multiple times with one of the digitizers, the touch worked long enough for me to unlock the screen then stopped working. After this I tried another digitizer with no luck. Any takers?
