Need of help soda got into my system

Me and my friend were just vibin and playing some gorn on the ps4 slim with the vr set but he accidentally spilled cream soda around the play-station and it sparked and completely shut off my ps4. We looked inside and cleaned everything with wipes and dried everything in 3 hours but when we plug it in. We hear it start but shuts off in a second.Right now im doing the rice trick in case there is still soda left but im fresh out of luck at this point. Any solutions? Or do i need to get another ps4? If so what are the cheap options i can get?

Rice does absolutely nothing. Make sure these is no power and clean it with alchohol and dry it with a hair dryer. Take a magnifying glass and do a physical inspection and see if you see any burnt spots on the board or components on both sides.

Putting your electronic devices in rice is never a good idea, you should take it out immediatley and let it air dry, if you know what you are doing and believe it’s safe to do so try removing some of the rice that could be stuck in the machine. If you know what your doing you may be able to take the motherboard out and let it sit in 80% isopropyl alcohol. If that doesnt work you may need to buy a new ps4 unfortunatley. You may be able to recover data from the HDD but your PS account will probably have all the games saved.

The cheapest option is just to buy a new one bc u would have to constantly buy parts for the one you already have..it takes a lot of money to keep it in working condition after damage has been done too it

take the board off and hoover the wet up. if that doesnt work you might have to replace the ps4 with a new one
