Dead battery. How can I recover it?

So recently, my MacBook accidentally left the charger and didn’t shut down in time. Now the battery is completed dead. I’ve tried SMC resets, but it seems to be hard shutting down. What can I try to do to now recover the battery?

Is your system still working? If it is lets see whats happening. Install this gem of an app CoconutBattery take a snapshot of the apps main window and post it here for us to see Adding images to an existing question then we can see whats up.

OK lets try this: plug in your charger into the other sides ports. Did CoconutBattery show any difference with Charging with line?

If not then you need a new battery: MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Touch Bar, Late 2016-2017) Battery

If you see a difference then the logic board needs repairs or replacement.
