battery change screen removal

I have a ZAGG - Invisible Shield HD Glass Screen Protector on my surface pro. Do I need to remove it before i disassemble it or will it help protect the screen while im removing it?

Thank you the battery swollen up and the screen on the bottom and both sides are free screen is only stuck by the top

In my personal experience I always remove screen protectors because they tend to absorb more heat thus requiring more time and heat to remove the screen. Be very careful when you work on these things. Surface tablets are picky and are a pain to work on.
