Can I fix apple watch 5 which has been droined in water?

The outer glass of my apple watch 5 was broken a little bit & I didn’t noticed , so I swim while wearing it suddenly it stopped working (which means the water leaked inside the watch ) , so can I fix it or should I buy new one ?
