Is it challenging to repair an iPhone XS without professional help?

I have no experience with repairing iPhones myself without professional help.

The iPhone XS that I have has a front cracked screen and the back cover or back glass is cracked.

If you have decent skills for fixing things it shouldn't be hard. Just watch as many videos on how to do it on YouTube and buy the tool set from ifixit and you should be fine.

Depends on *what* you need to repair. The majority of it is DIYer friendly, but if you want to repair the board for data recovery it’s not DIYer friendly, since it’s dual layer. Even if you’re a professional, changing the screen out will cause you to lose TrueTone and the camera also has to be done by Apple otherwise you lose FaceID.
