If the panel matchs the model type, does the screen model matter?

macbook a1342 late 2009

I recently broke my new mac book 13" panel screen, there is a HUGE crack on the laptop and I need to replace the screen. I literally bought it a month ago so its the most recent macbook. My question is, the panels model code is 6615588, will the panel type suggested on the parts page for this laptop work for my laptop?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Apple MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.26 13" (Uni/Late 09) Specs

Identifiers: Late 2009 - MC207LL/A - MacBook6,1 - A1342 - 2350*

would I be able to use just the panel? Everything else is usable.

There are three different screen makers, make sure you get an identical one, just check the numbers.

the model code for the screen i believe was 661-5588?

No, that's the number for the whole display top, see the link above. You need the number off the back of the LED.
