My friends iPod wont turn on

My friend accidenatly dropped his ipod on the floor and now it wont turn on

Try a soft reset first by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button on the top of the unit until a red slider appears. Then drag the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. If that does not work, you might want to try a hard reset. Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for about ten seconds(and sometimes even longer ;-) until the Apple logo appears. The screen should eventually go dark and the iPod Touch should restart and allow you to use it as normal. If none of this works, plug it in and see if it is being recognized. Worst case scenario, time to take it apart and look for dislodged cables etc....good luck
