Hi @v3rydryt0w3l ,

Turn off the TV (if on), disconnect the power from the TV and then remove the back cover from the TV.

Inspect all the boards for corrosion, especially the tcon board (if it has one and not just a mainboard and power board). The tcon board is the board that connects to the LCD panel.

If there is corrosion, remove the cables and clean the cable ends and the connectors as well as the boards. Check both sides of the boards

Use Ispropyl Alcohol 99.9%+ (available from electronics parts stores) to slightly moisten a soft brush or Q-Tip to gently clean away any corrosion. Do not use “rubbing alcohol” as this is usually <70% IPA, can contain additives and is not as effective. If you have to use it, check the amount of IPA as shown on the label. The higher the percentage the better.

As always with electronics, especially smd pcb be gentle when handling and when brushing away any corrosion. You don’t want to remove any components from the boards. Also don’t get the boards too wet when using the alcohol. Even though it evaporates allow it to dry before going back and removing any remaining corrosion from the same spot. The traces (copper tracks) can lift of the board as well as the smd components if it gets too wet. If there are any metal shields coving any of the components they will have to be removed as the liquid may have got in under them and there will be corrosion there as well

Here’s a link that shows the process. Electronics Water Damage (note: don’t use the “unverified version” of the guide as there are some errors in it which have to be removed by the ifixit admin)
