MacBook Air refuses to boot
My MacBook Air 13-inch Early 2014 (A1446) refuses to boot at all, although the light on my MagSafe charger lights up (orange, then green when fully charged). I left it unplugged for a couple of days with an external hard-drive attached which, at first, I assumed had just drained the battery dry but, after running some amateur tests, I no longer believe this is the case.
I have tried all of the resets, different cables/power sources and I’ve disconnected the battery but it still won’t boot, leading me to think it’s a logic board issue.
- Question 1) Do you agree that the problem likely lies with the logic board? Could it be the SSD?
- Question 2) Are there any other checks or tests that you would recommend?
l have an old MacBook Air 13-inch Late 2010 (A1369) which still works, albeit very slowly.
- Question 3) Would I be able to replace by current logic board with the one from this model? What about the SSD (if relevant)?
- Question 4) If so, would this drastically reduce the performance of my current MacBook?
Any and all advice will be gratefully received!
Is this a good question?

Did you have a liquid spill at some point? Do you use a spray cleaner directly onto the case or use a wet wipe to clean your system?

@danj It hasn't been exposed to any liquids/humidity, to my knowledge.
