It’s a jungle, but which adapter should I use for upgrading my hdd from 256GB to 512GB.

How about just using the best alternative to an Apple SSD OWC Aura Pro X2. I’ve got a drawer full of dead adapters and SSD’s I’ve pulled out of all sorts of Macs as they just don’t hold up.
