vintage fan .the Isolation is stuck ,can it be fixed?

the Isolation is stuck,the knob is off and it keeps trying to do it and “stuttering” in it attempt .if I use it will it burn out the motor ? and can it be fixed ?

Check if you can manually position the oscillation control and if the oscillation gear is OK and see if this resolves the problem.
