Can The Screen Be Put in An iBook G4 12"?

For a while, i have had my iBook G3 12" and it's gotten too slow to be of any practical use, even after upgarding the RAM, and hard drive it can't run leopard, flash is slow, and the CPU doesn't support AltiVec and it can barely run 3D applications. Right now, i don't want to buy a MacBook, but need a decent laptop. So i have been looking for a 12" iBook G4 (1Ghz-1.42Ghz) to replace it with. I have seen ones on ebay for about $100 with cracked or damaged screens, and if possible, i might buy one and take the display and hard drive out of my iBook G3, and put them in the iBook G4, i was wondering if this was possible. Can you use the screen from an ibook g3 in a g4? And will it work? If so, I might buy an iBook G4 with a cracked LCD, swap the screen, and drives, and sell the iBook G3 for whatever it's worth.
