Can The Screen Be Put in An iBook G4 12"?

For a while, i have had my iBook G3 12" and it's gotten too slow to be of any practical use, even after upgarding the RAM, and hard drive it can't run leopard, flash is slow, and the CPU doesn't support AltiVec and it can barely run 3D applications. Right now, i don't want to buy a MacBook, but need a decent laptop. So i have been looking for a 12" iBook G4 (1Ghz-1.42Ghz) to replace it with. I have seen ones on ebay for about $100 with cracked or damaged screens, and if possible, i might buy one and take the display and hard drive out of my iBook G3, and put them in the iBook G4, i was wondering if this was possible. Can you use the screen from an ibook g3 in a g4? And will it work? If so, I might buy an iBook G4 with a cracked LCD, swap the screen, and drives, and sell the iBook G3 for whatever it's worth.

Here Are My iBook's Specs:

800Mhz G3

A1005

640MB RAM

120GB 2.5" ATA Hard Drive

Combo Drive

Opaque, not translucent

Also, could someone include a list of swapable parts in these computer's?

Yes for screen, hard drive, keyboard, AC adapter, battery. No for ram, optical drive, airport card.

For the screen, make sure that the iBook G4 you buy with damaged screen has all the screen cables included and in working order cause all the G3 cables won't match. Don't buy a iBook G4 that has been dropped and has broken hinge(s) cause the display cables may be damaged too (but the G3 hinges assy can be used in the G4 display).

I think the AirPort card will transfer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1621

No, the newer iBook G4's use AirPort Extreme Cards, the G3 Uses a regular PCMCIA AirPort Card

Sorry but the G3 use the older airport card first generation and the G4 use the Airport Extreme one. Please check your link.
