iPhone 4 sim card issue

I went to att and they put a new sim card in my phone and it reads and shows it but yet it still says no service???? I am confused why it recongizes it but yet i still have no service??? This is a new iphone I just got it last month. Please help!

go to settings app, at the top you will see airplane mode...slide to on, wait a few seconds and then slide to off again and see if that helps. This should make the phone search for a signal again/carrier. If is still has no signal then I would take it back to where you bought it and ask them to sort it out as it is still under warranty.

+ Good advice. I can't believe AT&T didn't verify it was working properly prior to handing back to the customer. That is poor customer relations. If polly's advice doesn't work I would ask to talk to the manager. If you are polite and discuss your problem with them you may end up with a free month of service.
