Some parts of phone screen has been unresponsive for months

Horizontal rectangles of parts of screen (such as the most top part, so i cant pull down the notification bar) is unresponsive but there’s still display. I dropped it (again, for the last time), the screen went crazy like green and black streaks. Now, its just a black screen. I switched it off with the power button (there was a vibration indicating that it switched off). What can I do?

Hi,

It seems as though there were problems with the touchscreen and now the LCD screen.

As a DIY repair the best thing maybe is to replace the screen assembly i.e. the LCD screen and the touchscreen digitizer.

Here’s a video that shows how to replace the screen in the phone.

Replacement parts are available online. Just search for Huawei P30 lcd and touch screen to get results for suppliers, that suit you. They aren’t cheap.

If doing this seems too daunting, contact a reputable, professional mobile phone repair service and ask for a quote to repair the phone.
