Why does my phone not finish Extracting Software on iTunes?

So my phone has been stuck in Recovery Mode for quite some time. But every time I open iTunes and try to go through the process where I can Update or Restore, my serial number suddenly becomes unreadable or 'non-applicable' and the entire buffering stops. In fact, it buffers to the very end with 'Downloading Firmware' and seems as though it has an inch left. What would be the reasons behind this, such as why it can't extract the software. Has my phone slipped into a state where iTunes can't read it? Thanks a lot for those who answer!

This could be caused by a number of reasons but I would suspect a faulty NAND if it cannot read the SN. I don’t think the outcome will change but you could

·         Put your phone into DFU mode and try a restore with iTunes.

·         Try restore with a program called 3uTools.

Hi, Chris, thanks for the reply! Considering the NAND is faulty, does that indicate a hardware problem? Consequently, would that necessitate the need to contact repair shops, such as iPad Rehab and DataSalvage etc.? I have actually tried those two methods you offered.

Jessa from iPad rehab should be still working. However this error is usually a deal breaker for data recovery.

Do you receive any error number?

Hi, Jeff! Yes I did, it was Error 4013. Some sources say that indicates a hardware issue. Would it be just from a faulty USB port? I also found that it is in need of Microsoldering.

I obviously can't microsolder so that will definitely be a problem. Would removing the NAND chip and reprogramming it help, if you know? Thanks!

Hello, excuse me, but I am going to use the google translator in case my translation was not very accurate, have you already tried other software than iTunes? for example 3uTools (best option), iTools ... these software will help you on the way to put the iPhone in DFU mode, you can comment if this helped you and if not I can continue helping you.

Hi, Carlos! I tried Tenorshare the first time. But then shortly after, it booted back into Recovery Mode, where the Apple and iTunes logo keep flickering on and off.

Would 3UTools be able to boot me out and allow me to keep my data or if I don't have a backup, would that restore the entire phone? Do you know if micro soldering and/or taking out the NAND chip and reprogramming it be a solution? Thank you for the reply!

Hi, I don't know if I mentioned this, but I am not intending on restoring and losing my data as I was incompetent enough to not back it up, and am only intending on booting it out of the state that it is in. Would using 3UTools be a way for that or would that necessitate restoring it all?
