What is the SMU reset button?

What is the SMU reset button? What does it look like? I have the side and cover off my G5 hoping to reset something, but it all looks a bit ominous?

It's the SMC reset button, called a CUDA switch. It's a small around 3mm gray or black plain push button. The location depends on which G5 Mac you have. Please give us the last three figures of your serial number so we know which machine you have. It might also help to tell us why you are looking for it.

Here's how to do it and what it does: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1939

Pictures of the CUDA and locations on a G5 Power Mac are at the bottom of this link.
