I dropped my iPod Touch 4th Generation 32 GB on the floor.

I got a serious question...

Howmuch would it cost to get the glass on the iPod fixed/repaired? I accidentally dropped my iPod Touch 4th Generation 32 GB on a tile floor, making the glass break towards the point that it gets very disturbing while using the iPod. Any ideas on what I should do? Get new glass for it, and repair it myself? Or send it in to Apple?

Which is cheaper? Thanks!

Since this is end user damage, Apple will not cover it and may void the device warranty if there's an extended amount of damage to the device. This isn't an easy job, so I would still recommend going to Apple and taking a chance on losing the device warranty if you are not confident in your ability to do the repair.

The entire LCD assembly will need to be replaced, since these components are secured with LOCA glue. The glass only repair is not something the average person can do.
