Mouse button sticking, any ideas on how to fix it?

My WIfe has a 15" Mac Pro, she uses it a lot and the mouse button is sticking, or more precisely it is not depressing when it is clicked. I don't feel any movement from it, almost as if it is not a button. She said she hasn't spilled anything on it. Any ideas on how to take this apart to look for the cause of the problem?

THANKS!

Mark

If you follow steps 1-9 here, you can fairly easily remove the upper case to see things from the other side. Check for debris or rubbing.

Good luck!

My wife's MacBook did the same thing. I pulled the battery out to start to investigate the issue and realized that the (really) old battery had swollen and was pressing against the back of the trackpad and button. Leaving the battery out solved the problem.
